Our hybrid students attend in person two days per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The remaining learning days take place at home using a curriculum aligned with our classroom instruction. Students enrolled in a learning pod will only attend our program once a week.
Lunch: Students must bring their lunch each day. Lunch will be eaten in the classroom with their peers. Students may bring healthy snacks and water bottles. They are welcome to snack and drink water throughout the day as needed. Please ensure that snacks are easy to manage, and avoid foods that may cause allergies (e.g., peanuts), as we strive to maintain a safe environment for all students. Teachers will notify parents if there is a specific allergy in the classroom.
Yes, our elementary and upper-grade levels include Christian instruction and values integrated into learning. Our preschool programs are nature-based and play-focused.
Our program offers nature-based, hands-on learning that fosters curiosity and deep engagement with the world around us. We integrate faith and academics to promote whole-child growth, nurturing not only intellectual development but also emotional, spiritual, and social well-being. We believe in a true partnership between families and educators, working together to support each student’s unique learning journey. With flexible home days, parents are provided with the necessary guidance to reinforce classroom learning. Above all, our program emphasizes creativity, community, and curiosity, encouraging students to explore, collaborate, and grow in a supportive, dynamic environment.
Parents will receive the syllabus for at-home learning at the beginning of each semester. The syllabus will outline the lessons, assignments, and key learning goals for the semester. This will give parents ample time to prepare and organize at-home learning activities that align with in-person classroom instruction.
To ensure you select the appropriate curriculum for your child, we recommend taking the placement test provided by The Good and the Beautiful. The test is available on their website and is linked on each class schedule. This will help determine the best level for your child, ensuring that their learning materials align with their current skill level.
No, aftercare will not be provided. Students must be picked up at their designated time, which is 2:00 PM for hybrid students. Please make arrangements for a timely pickup at the end of the school day.
All programs are drop-off with the exception of learning pods. For learning pods, parents may stay on the premises if needed. This allows for flexibility if you prefer to remain nearby during your child’s learning time
Unlike a co-op, we do not require parents to volunteer their time during the school year. However, we welcome parent involvement on an optional basis for special events or activities if you’re interested in contributing. We aim to create a supportive community, but parent volunteer time is not a mandatory expectation.
Our teachers undergo a thorough vetting process to ensure they are qualified, experienced, and aligned with our values. This process includes:
We prioritize hiring teachers who are passionate about their subjects, committed to nurturing each child’s potential, and invested in creating a positive, supportive classroom environment.
No, field trips are open to everyone in the Blossoming Minds Homeschool Community, but are not mandatory. While field trips are a wonderful opportunity for enrichment, they are not required as part of the class structure. Families are welcome to attend, but participation is entirely optional.
Blossoming Minds is now using Brightwheel as our school management system. Our new parent and teacher portal ensures timely updates on student progress, events, and important information. This portal will serve as the primary communication tool, allowing parents and teachers to stay connected and informed throughout the school year.
